“Reflecting on working with a client project, it is a challenge to come up with one word that might capture the project… I think for my clients, the word that comes to me is “Legacy.” It is not unusual to want to finally get around to completing window treatments or to move forward with the refresh you have been planning …. but to have a client share that their home is the “Legacy” they are passing down to their children… that is pretty special (and maybe just a bit more pressure).” – Barb Bode – Designer

Barb’s client wanted to see and touch fabric for new drapery in her great room. Together, they poured over our extensive library of fabric books, drapery hardware portfolios and trimming books, and designed the ideal drapery for her home.

Phase I

Barb and the homeowner wanted to create a stunning layered look, that had texture and classic style. First layer, custom Woven Wood Romans installed in the Great Room. Woven Woods by Hunter Douglas, Provenance.

Great Room’s look was completed with the 2 Finger Euro Pleat Drapery with lining, fabric by Fabricut

Barb shared more, “Working with my clients has been pure JOY!!! In this partnership, I felt my role was to build on an already beautiful sense of design…to provide options that allowed the creativity to blossom fully, to complete the vision ~ I think I have helped with that. Gorgeous warm colors in the fabrics of drapery panels, Woven Wood shades that are full of texture and dimension, while still allowing your eye to see right through them into the beautiful outdoors … updating products, for example elegant drapery hardware, that totally shift the focus in the room. This project completes the vision of refreshing a home that everyone can come and connect, share meals, play games, visit in and make new memories for years and years to come.

Phase II Continued

In the Dining Room, Barb continued the home design with more Woven Wood Roman Shades. This time with a deeper, richer tone to create a warm, cozy nook off the kitchen.

Hallway and Second Floor, Barb continued with the rich tones of Horizons Window Shades, Woven Wood Roman Shades.

As you can see in the photos, Sunlight is diffused deliciously. The window treatments compliment the homeowner’s decor perfectly. That’s no coincidence. Barb is meticulous to details.

Main Bedroom

Just look at that enticing window seat? Resistance would futile, at least for me. Especially when you add the homeowner’s sweet pup.

Barb and her client made that window seat irresistible with Fabricut Roman Shades with valances.
