2026: Design Assistant – Full-time

The Role: The Design Assistant is a critical support role, ensuring a seamless experience for our clients and Designers/Window Covering Experts. You will be the organizational hub of the design process, managing project timelines and helping the Designers stay on top of their work load. This role involves client interaction regarding design revisions and project updates as well as vendor interaction regarding design choices, quotes and statuses.
Key Responsibilities:
Designer Support:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients when Designers are in the field, providing project status updates and answering questions/concerns.
- Assist Designers by managing quote delivery, order submission, and tracking progress from design through production.
- Join Designers on complex client site visits to assist with general information gathering.
- Communicate with clients regarding existing quotes including helping with revisions or showroom visits as needed.
- Perform weekly order reviews with each Designer
Showroom & Administration:
- Back up for the Showroom Coordinator which includes front desk coverage.
- Assist clients during Showroom appointments, helping them select fabrics, explaining product options, and providing rough quotes.
- Perform administrative tasks such as entering sales orders and maintaining project tracking information
- Coordinate between internal and external stakeholders to keep projects moving forward
- Keep the design room clean and current by updating sample books and vendor boards
- Ensure project folders (digital and physical) are complete, accurate, and accessible to the Team
- Prep material for weekly FTR Meeting
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Extremely well organized and detail oriented
- Loves technology and is very Computer savvy, including proficiency with G Suite (including Excel)
- Enthusiastic, positive, and energetic
- Loves interior design
- Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable talking to people on the phone and in person
- Self-motivated with strong people skills and the ability to work independently
- Able to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints
- Reliable transportation and cell phone are a must
