Starting this October, GWD is collecting pop tops/can tops for the Burlington Chapter of Ronald McDonald House!

One of the EASIEST ways to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities, is collecting pop tops/can tabs. Their Pop Tab program is important because it provides extra revenue that can help make up for the donations that families cannot make.

It takes approximately 1,128 pop tabs to equal one pound. This program brings in an average of $6,000 each year. RMH accepts more than just soda pop tabs!

    What is a pop top?

Pop tops/Can Tabs come from energy drinks, soup cans, or anything with a metallic tab.

Here’s some info on all the great work RMH does for Vermont:

“This year, we are celebrating 36 wonderful years of Keeping Families Close. We are honored to have been a part of so many family’s lives, and thankful to our donors, sponsors and community for supporting our efforts for over three decades. The house is the cornerstone of RMHC Burlington’s trio of programs, and is equipped with twelve rooms. Our guests arrive with so much unknown, and we strive to provide them with a warm bed, meals, access to amenities and the comfort of being just a mile from their child staying at the UVM Children’s Hospital. RMHC Burlington also supports the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, providing free dental care to undeserved Vermont children and expecting mothers as well as the Ronald McDonald House Family Room on the pediatric floor of the hospital.”

Soooo…start collecting in your home, office, gym and drop them off at GWD!
