How important is entertainment?

“TV is, after all, the modern day Roman Colosseum.”

That’s one of my personal, favorite quotes, from folk singer/activist, Ani Difranco. It really got me thinking how important art and entertainment is to a society. News is a whole different can-o-worms, but art, entertainment, that innate need, that dwells in every single human, to share our story to the masses…is in fact, ancient.

To become lost in a story, a film, a TV show….is now, daily ritual for most of us.
