Hey GWD fam,
Kelly here! Your trusty company president, mom, local business owner & community advocate. I wanted to just take a minute to share that we have a lot of special things bubbling up that we think might be something you or someone you know will want to get involved in! Here at Gordon’s we FIRMLY believe that it is a company’s responsibility to support the community that supports it. So, get out your calendars because there are so many fun events on the horizon that the Gordon’s Team is psyched to be a part of and for almost all of them there is still time for you to partake!

KIDSAFE COLLABORATIVE: Yesterday 4/18, Kidsafe Collaborative’s Outstanding Service Awards which is an incredible event honoring truly remarkable people.

 

GORDON’S SHOWROOM REOPENING: On Wednesday 5/3 from 5-8pm we are SO exciting to open up our newly renovated showroom for delish food and drinks from Sugarsnap and the chance to earn a CEU with a super cool presentation on innovative fabrics (trust me, it is WAY cooler than it seems- you don’t want to miss and hey…free food and drink so you can’t lose!).Learn more here.

 

GREEN UP DAY: Let’s all hope for great weather on Friday 5/5 as the Team spends the morning Greening Up our street followed by a visit from our favorite pizza truck for lunch (if you’ve not tried Farmers Market Pizza you’re missing out!)

 

VBSR: May 11th is a big day! VBSR is having their annual conference and we are thrilled to be sponsors of the event (and even more thrilled to attend the conference and get all that great learning). VBSR = Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility.

 

AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION: Right after the conference on May 11th we’ll be heading to the waterfront for our third year of participating in The American Heart Association’s CycleNation!

 

FLYNN CENTER FOR PERFORMING ARTS: On May 12th it is La Nuit at the Flynn! A great way to dance, bid on killer silent auction prizes (*cough like gift certificates to Gordon’s *cough) and support a Vermont fixture. We’ll be there with our dancing shoes on!

 

CYSTIC FIBROSIS FOUNDATION: Great Strides is an incredible event to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and we are honored to be a sponsor for this phenomenal foundation. The walk is September 12th so get your walking shoes on and yourself registered!

Whew! So between designing, manufacturing and installing custom window coverings, you can be sure to find members of Team GWD out & about, doing their part to make this fine state of Vermont even better.
