Solar Shades or Roller Shades? What’s the big difference?

We get a lot of questions from our customers asking us what’s the difference between solar shades and roller shades. The answer to this question is, nothing really! These two terms are used interchangeably, just like “cellular shades” are referred to as “honeycomb shades,” it’s just industry jargon!

Our Vermont window treatment company takes a great deal of pride in our hand-crafted solar shades. They’ll spruce up any home’s interior décor, while providing you with a significant amount of energy savings during the hot months of summer. Solar Shades are designed to help block the heat of the sun while allowing you to see out which means you get to enjoy your view without breaking a sweat!

Solar Shades (or Roller Shades!) also block UV rays which can damage floors and furtniture. You can sit back and relax during the hottest days of summer and feel confident knowing that your window treatments are working at their best to keep your home cool!

If you decide to purchase your solar window treatments from Gordon’s Window Décor, our products are backed by our limited lifetime warranty! What does this mean for you? Should you have any issues, our team will take care of you a full 10 years from the date of purchase, how cool is that!
