“Despite living several hours away, Sue and her husband wanted to work with Gordon’s. They knew GWD could bring their vision to life. Their home has an incredible wall of windows that let in a ton of light into the home, and it was surely toasty in the Summer! They were interested in shades that would keep things cool, but not block all the light.
By the time we had our initial consultation, these homeowners knew what they wanted: Vendor, product, even fabric!
Each window is situated between a pair of post and beams. The custom shades from Hunter Douglas fit beautifully. The upper shades, which are out of reach, are motorized, and the lower shades are operated manually. The fabric enhances the space and provides enough light filtration to keep it cool and comfortable (but not cave-like) on hot days. The look is cohesive, while the variety of operation means each shade can function in the best way for these homeowners. It was wonderful being trusted to bring this vision to life for our clients!”
