What do you do when the classic Victorian home has stunning period, functioning radiators and they want drapery?
Design around them!
Our homeowners have exquisite taste, from their wall coverings, to their upholstery and furniture. Our designer knew that subtlety would be the key when it came to the window decor. We selected a soft Ivory fabric from Trend.,with a soft hand and faint weave. When designing the drapery, the homeowner wanted a very classic look of pinch-pleating.
The morning Sun beams into the dining room bay window and it was quite overwhelming. A second layer of light/glare control was needed. Our designer diffused the glare with a soft Ivory Roller Shade. The look is classic, and unobtrusive. The shade compactly rolls up when not in use.
In the sitting room, we continued the Ivory drapery with wrought Iron hardware from Magnolia. Our designer was very cognizant of the length of the drapery because of the working Victorian radiators. So beautiful.
The two rooms are cohesive, stylish and oh so Victorian. And pup approved. Thank you for modeling, Pheebs.
