What started decades ago as a Summer retreat for generations, has morphed into a retirement oasis.
We all know how gorgeous the Champlain Islands are, but we are fully aware of the bitter, cold winds that whip across the frozen lake in the Winter. That’s what our homeowner was battling when they contacted us.
New insulation and energy efficient windows upgraded this once camp, but still weren’t doing enough. The windows created stunning, amazing views of the lake, but also beccame bone-chilling cold. The new heating costs were more than the bargained for.
Our made in Vermont EcoSmart Insulating Cellular Shades are gracing every window, and more importantly, saving them money on their energy bills!
In the living areas, our designer Elizabeth, went with a warm tone, that coordinates with interior wood work. Designing numerous of the shades to operate Top Down/Bottom Up, which maintains the homeowner’s privacy and still allows natural light to cascade in.
Upstairs in the bedrooms, Elizabeth decided to use our Blackout Cellular fabric in two of the guestrooms (those grandkids need daytime napping time!) and in the master, she and our homeowner decided on a very, soft light-filtering fabric. Again deciding to add the Top Down/Bottom up feature.
Now this rejuvenated home is ready to be enjoyed year round and for generations to come!
