Dear Past, Current and Future Clients,

When I reflect on why I choose to shop locally there are a range of reasons, but the primary reason is the fundamental desire for human connection and when I shop locally I feel a human connection.

I don’t think I’m alone in that.

For any of you who may have chosen to work with Gordon’s in order to find a connection I thank you deeply and I also have a favor to ask.

Ours is a business that has been working hard to exceed client expectations since 1986 and paramount to that is making sure clients have realistic expectations. We believe in honesty and transparency and it is in that spirit that I am sharing that our Team has been dealt a series of blows that have resulted in significantly longer than usual lead times. Every single person on this team is pitching in and doing everything they can while also taking care of themselves to get us through this time, but it is going to take a few months.

Therein is my ask. I am asking for patience and understanding. I promise you that it is going to take longer to get an appointment, it is going to take longer to get quotes, and it is going to take longer for your project to get installed, and I also promise you that it will be worth the wait. We will never compromise on quality in the interest of speed. When it is 2034 and you’re still loving your shades or draperies or shutters, the wait will be a distant memory.

These are the moments where our community’s strength stands out. The moments when we make the choice to extend to one another empathy and compassion.
