GWD has its very own award- The Shady!
Unlike the inspiration “The Dundies” “A gift that is worthless and is given in recognition of something meaningless.” The Shady has ended up being given for actual awesome stuff rather than whitest shoes or whatever, like in the Dundies.

Mitch shared, “Chris has been a pleasure to work with. He has a cool, calm, collected demeanor and very easy to work with. He’s a wealth of knowledge and very patient when training. I’ve learned a lot of very helpful techniques and processes working with Chris. This award seems long overdue. Congratulations Chris, and thanks for everything.”

“Congrats Brian! Brian is always jumping in field to help out on installs whenever possible and for me I’ve learned a lot from working with him on several projects including The Treehouse in Stowe, where we spent many long days last winter up there.”

“Generally quiet and subdued, shuffling contracts, change orders, keeping client account numbers straight and project billings in order – she’s heads down on the task at hand. Always responsive to a client request for some insurance certificate or tax exempt status – crossing every I and dotting all the T’s. Chasing the past due accounts relentlessly – ensuring we collect what is owed to us – no matter how long ago we made good on our promise to our ravingest of fans. All while selling her share of window treatments to some of our longest standing clients. That’s right folks – you heard it here first! The Shady Award is now proudly standing watch over Sandi!”

Sandi shared this about The Shady’s next awardee, “If you looked up the word ‘Extraordinary’ in the dictionary you would find her picture next to it. What she’s been through this last year and still managed to go above and beyond for each of us here at GWD. She’s definitely something special and so I proudly present the “The Shady” to the amazing Kathie.”

“JAKE!!!! Jake is like a silent super hero who just swoops in and helps whenever and wherever he is needed. Every time we find ourselves with a backlog, all of the sudden Jake is there to help us get the backlog down! GWD is lucky to have such a friendly, reliable, honest, flexible, and all around team player as part of our family! Thank you for being part of the GWD family Jake and for everything you do!”
